The Pigeon House Towers Series (2007-2008) are drawings which began originally as a visual investigation project to visually explore the question of global energy production and its effects on our lives and future. But the focus quickly changed to the Pigeon House Towers as a central point of focus of Dublin city and visible they are from so many points in the city.
The thermal station chimneys were completed in 1971 & are among the tallest structures in Ireland. Visible from most of Dublin city the towers act as a beacon of Dublin city, and welcome everybody to Dublin whether they arrive by sea or air. When you see them appear, you know you are home.
